Luxury homes have witnessed a 24% jump in prices over the past five years in India’s top seven cities, surpassing the appreciation in the affordable housing sector, according to data from Anarock Research said.

The pandemic-induced shift in housing preferences has translated into heightened demand for luxury residences, subsequently driving up prices in this segment.

Prices of luxury homes in the top 7 cities in 2018 averaged out at approximately ₹12,400 per square feet and at this point in 2023, have increased to around ₹15,350 per square feet, it added.

Hyderabad emerged as the frontrunner in luxury home price growth, seeing a staggering 42% increase in average price from ₹7,450 per square foot in 2018. Bengaluru and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) recorded a notable 27% appreciation each.

왜 2020년 10월 이 시쯤에서 인도투자에 대한 생각을 가졌을까? 

바로 미국투자가 최근들어 24조라는 금액들어왔으며, 나아가 에너지, 통신산업 등 

기본적인 라인과 인프로가 구축이 되었고, 릴라이언스 그룹에서 플랫폼 비즈니스에 대한

관심과 투자를 진행코자가 발표를 했다,

이러한 관점이 내가 2020년이 인도투자를 시작해야되는 이유라고 생각한다

중국인 PC를 뛰어넘고, 스마트폰 세상을 맞이했고

인도는 스마트폰 중 5G 라는 새로운 세상을 처음 맞이하는 사람들로 가득할 것이며

거기서 발생하는 문화경험하고, 거기부터 새로운 생태계가 인도를 만들지 않을까?

당장 인도를 투자한다고 돈을 번다는 건 힘들어 보인다.

다만, 10년이상 장기로 가지고 간다면, 인구에 비례하는 내수시장을 힘을 기반으로

글로벌 비즈니스에도 가능성을 가질 수 있을거라 생각한다.

Wage growth staying over asset price inflation is the only organic leveller of income inequality, don’t know how much to read into this table though. Even if wealth were to be rebalanced equally in society one will work more than another and competition will create inequality again, the key might not be to fix inequality but the magnitude of it (another good idea inheritance tax, doesn’t discourage entrepreneurs in the way some other taxes on income do, or cost of doing business going up via indirect taxes)
